Every therapy, plus Applied Behavior Analysis, happens in this building, on the same day. That means fewer drives and fewer waiting rooms.

Trach and vent care, G-tube feeds, oxygen, monitors, seizure protocols and medications, handled all day by licensed nurses who see your child every day.

Our team speaks English, Spanish and Creole. Nobody has to translate their child's medical history or bring a relative along to interpret.

We sit where Hollywood meets Davie and Pembroke Pines, near Memorial Regional and Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, and we know the weeks right after discharge. We are independent of both hospitals, just close by.
Nursing, therapy, meals, learning and play, in one building, on one schedule.

Nurses handle trach care and vent support, G-tube feeds and seizure protocols, all day.

Strength, balance and the long work of learning to move, in our own therapy gym.

Hands, feeding skills and the small independences that change a whole day.

Talking and swallowing, and being understood, including by the people who love them.
Breathing treatments, airway care and oxygen managed on site.

ABA in the same building as the nursing and the therapy, so it is not a second commute.

Meals and snacks planned around your child's needs, by mouth or by tube.

Art and music, learning and friends, the parts of childhood that belong to every child.
Children from birth through age 20 whose condition needs skilled nursing during the day. If your child's diagnosis is on this list, or near it, it's worth a phone call.
You don't have to figure this out alone. Call us, tell us what's going on, and we'll look at it with you and tell you honestly where you stand.
There are two pieces of paper between your child and a spot here: a prescription and an approval. Here is the honest version.
Walk the rooms. Meet the nurses. Ask the questions you've been carrying around for months. Bring your child.
PPEC is prescribed care, so it starts with a physician's prescription. We'll talk to the office directly.
The approval is renewed every 180 days. This is the part that scares people, and we help with the paperwork each time.
The nurses and therapists are waiting. First day, and every day after.
We do the paperwork with you.

Peek A Boo was started by a father and his daughter. He practiced Internal Medicine in Cuba before the family immigrated in 1999, so he knows what it is to start over, and to be the person a worried family is counting on. His daughter, Natali Tejeda, owns the center. Rosa Martinez is our Director of Nursing.

Getting started takes three steps.PPEC stands for Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care. It is a medical daycare licensed by Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration, where licensed nurses care for children from birth through age 20 who have complex medical needs. Children can attend up to 12 hours a day and receive therapy, meals and learning while they are here.
For eligible children, Florida Medicaid covers PPEC with a doctor's prescription. Florida Medicaid approves it, the approval is renewed every 180 days, and we help with the paperwork each time. Therapy, meals and the ride to the center each work a little differently, so ask us how they work for your child.
Children who qualify usually have a condition that needs skilled nursing during the day, such as cerebral palsy, tracheostomy care, ventilator dependence, tube feedings or seizure disorders. The decision starts with your child's physician. Call us and we'll look at it with you.
Ask us how the ride to and from the center works for your child. We will go through it with you on the first call.
We are open Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Children can attend up to 12 hours a day.
Our center is at 7777 Davie Road Extension, Suite 100A, Hollywood, FL 33024, where Hollywood meets Davie and Pembroke Pines. We serve Broward County and North Miami-Dade, including Hollywood, Davie, Pembroke Pines, Miramar, West Park, Dania Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Tamarac.
